Tools
I get asked a lot what I’ve used to build my own website, what my favourite blogger tools are, which vegan and cruelty free make up products I use, etc.
That’s why I thought it might be helpful to create this page to share all my favourite tools and products.
With some of the products, I recieve a small commission if you decide to purchase something through my link – at no additional cost to you. I only link products and tools that I personally use and love, including free tools!
Blogging
Bluehost
Bluehost made it so easy for me to build my very first, own website. You get a FREE domain name and it's super easy to install WordPress on it. You can get started for only $3.95 per month (that's the plan I have). Whenever I have a question, it's very easy to get in touch with them and they are always willing to help out.
Elementor (Pro)
I looove Elementor. Personally, I have Elementor Pro. Elementor is a page builder that you can use on WordPress. You can design your whole website with zero coding. There are 100+ widgets to choose from, and you simply just drag them to your post and design them to your personal preference. I never thought it would be SO easy to design your own website!
Create & Go
Create & Go has multiple courses to help you with your blogging journey. I have bought the 'Launch Your Blog Biz', and I am so happy I did. It has helped me big time with monetizing my website and I have learnt so many new things about affiliate marketing, email marketing, social media, SEO, driving traffic, etc. Feel free to message me if you have any questions about the course.
Canva
Canva is my favourite tool for designing any graphics. I use it all the time to create my pins and images for my blog articles. Even the free version has a lot of options to create amazing, professional looking images.
Tailwind
In my opinion, Tailwind is THE best scheduler for Pinterest & Instagram. I use Pinterest to drive traffic to my website, and Tailwind has made it so much easier. I create a bunch of pins for my articles on Canva, and then schedule them on Tailwind so that I don't have to manually create pins every day.
Optimizilla
If the images on your website are too big, they will slow down your website a lot. That's why, whenever I upload an image to my blog, I optimize the size first. Optimizilla has made this so easy for me.
Unsplash
Unsplash has over a million FREE high-resolution stock images. I use it all the time to design pins or images for my website. Out of all the free stock images websites I've used, Unsplash is definitely my favourite.
Microsoft To Do
This app has made me so much more disciplined, and helps me to get all my tasks done. I use it both on my computer and phone as they synchronize with each other. I created lists for Monday until Sunday, my current week, next week, my goals for three months and even groceries. You can create as many lists as you want and it is free to use!
Lightroom
This is my all time favourite editing app. I mainly use it for my pictures on social media and my website. There are endless of possibilties with this app. I use the phone version, which is free to use. I created my own presets, but it's also possible to buy presets and then use them on your own pictures.
Chaty
You have probably seen the Facebook Messenger sign at the bottom of my website. I created that with Chaty! You only need to create a chatbot with ManyChat and connect it to your Facebook page.
Travel
Booking.com
Whenever I am travelling and don't want to stay in a hostel, I use Booking.com. It's so easy to navigate and they have a lot of options and deals. You and your friends can even earn some money through Booking.com with their referral system!
Skyscanner
Skyscanner is still the best and easiest way for me to search for cheap flights. What I love about Skyscanner is that you don't even have to search for specific destinations or dates. You can leave those options open and it will show you the cheapest destinations and/or dates.
Kiwi.com
I always look on Skyscanner first, and then I compare with Kiwi.com to see if it's cheaper. It usually works out that Skyscanner still gives me the cheapest options, but sometimes Kiwi.com will give me an even cheaper option - it's always worth it to double check!
Flixbus
Taking a Flixbus is by far my favourite way of travelling through Europe. AND, they also operate in the United States now! How amazing is that? The busses are very comfortable, have a toilet, Wi-Fi and power outlets.
Workaway
Workaway gives you the opportunity to live and work in another country. Usually, you work a few hours a day in exchange for accommodation and food. I, for instance, have worked almost four months at a yoga retreat in Sydney, Australia and have had the best time of my life there.
HappyCow
Whenever I am travelling or visiting a city that I have never been to before, I will have a look on HappyCow to check out the vegan/vegeterian restaurants closeby. It has helped me so many times!
Beauty & Lifestyle
PHB Ethical Beauty
This is the only make up brand that I know that is vegan, cruelty free, organic, natural, does not use palm oil AND also donates 20% of their profits to charity. That alone makes me love this company, but besides that: I actually really enjoy their products too!
Sigma Beauty
I remember buying my first Sigma brush. I was so excited to get my hands on a professional make up brush, and after all these years I still use and enjoy their brushes. And the best thing is: all their make up brushes are vegan & cruelty free!
